Can Massage, Laser and Bowen Therapy be used for Animals?
Absolutely can!
Let me tell you the story of Jessie, our little 14 years old miniature dachshund.
Earlier last year Jess slipped a disc in her back. I got home from work on a Saturday afternoon, to find she had lost the use of her hind legs. Completely. Devastated, we rang her vet, but they had closed until Monday. At that time I had limited understanding of laser skills with small animals, but had a wonderfully effective very low Laser and started immediately on her back muscles and then started Emmett Therapy4animals., which works with connective tissue and hydration in the body. If nothing else, on that first night, she looked a little calmer and was ready for rest. We redid the treatment on the following day, and then it was straight off to the vet for the cortisone injection. Our beloved vet, looked very non-commitall as to the effectiveness of the injection, as its best delivered as close to injury time but was wiling to try for us. We continued with her treatment, under supervision of the vet. Proprioreception of the legs and paws started to improve until she started regaining the use of her legs. She now runs around completely independently, and has full use of her legs.
The combined therapy of Low Intensity Laser, Bowen Therapy, massage & exercise therapy and RockTaping & Cell Salts (taken ingestively) proved a successful treatment strategy.
After 25 years of working within the human field, I've further trained in small & companion animal skills, and seem to be taking on more furry clients!
Low Intensity Laser is also wonderful for arthritis, wound healing,........Bowen Therapy can be useful for muscular, digestive, emotional issues. The Cell Salts comprise the basic mineral requirements of life, and work at a cellular level to repair & rejuvenate. Rock Taping can reestablish proprioreception.
