Canine Emmett & Bowen Therapy

With over 27 years experience working with humans in the field of Remedial Massage, Bowen Therapy and Low Intensity Laser Therapy, it seemed a natural progression to extend this experience and follow a passion to work with our best fur buddies as well.

Verlie is a qualified Emmett4Dogs practitioner and uses this very gentle muscle release therapy to work with dogs and other small animals, to release tension, correct injury and restore balance for a healthy, relaxed life for your pet.

Appointments also incorporate Animal Schuessler Tissue Salt Therapy, Low Intensity Laser Therapy, Bowen Therapy and Rock Taping to bring about the best results for your pets.

All pet treatment is in a pet dedicated area next-door to the clinic.

Charlie

Charlie [Schoodle] regularly brought up most of his meals, for no apparent reason. After being checked by his Vet who found nothing sinister, Bowen, Emmett and Tissue Salts were used to calm and balance the digestive system. He is now able to keep most of his food down and has less gas.

Veronica

Veronica has maintenance treatment. Dachsunds are prone to back problems, so Emmett and Bowen are used to keep muscles moving freely and easily while correcting any muscular imbalances.

Pippa

Pippa [Schoodle] was limping on her right back leg and is pretty much symptom free with the help of Laser, Emmett and Bowen applied to a tight back and upper leg muscles. She now walks and runs with good mobility.

Kippy

Kippy, was a foster dog and was constantly off his food, lots of dry retching and lethargy. By using a treatment plan of all therapies, appropriate for his 12 years of age, the focus was on health maintenance, balance and keeping him as comfortable as possible.

Vincent

Vincent, an incredibly lively and busy dachsy, was limping on his front left leg. Releasing tight muscles through his shoulder and withers, has corrected the issue. He's now busier than ever.

Bobby

Laser and Emmett were used for Bobby's [Spaniel] tight arthritic lower back and tight right hindquarter, to ease the muscles, take stress off the spine and make it easier for him to rise from sitting.

Rose

Rose, the Australian Kelpie, had a very nervous nature and quite fearful of strangers. Protocols to calm and help her with anxiety, uncovered a painful and tight lower back. Whilst she is still rather timid, there has been some improvement.

Vinny

Vinny was brought in as a 12 month pup, for his inability to jump. His gastrocnemius muscle was so tight, it basically made him 'flat footed'. Bowen, Emmett, laser and tissue salts are slowly alleviating the issue. He can now jump and climb up stairs.

Tabo

Tabo was attacked by another large dog. Amazingly, there was no physical injury (only to the owner!). After the Vet's assessment, the owner brought him in for precautionary laser work to his lower back and tail, and work for acute anxiety.
